Cava Tasting Experience Hamper - Live From Catalonia

Clos Mont-blanc Cava is a premium quality sparkling wine, made using sustainable methods by a boutique winery in the Conca de Barbera region of Spain. It's a delicious and refreshing drink, and the recipient of this special gift will be invited to join a unique virtual tasting session live from Catalonia on 3rd February @ 7.30pm. Cava expert Nika will be joining Paloma from Clos Montblanc winery to host the tasting. Why not treat someone special to an authentic, but relaxed and fun tasting experience and the opportunity to try some new bubbles with some tasty Catalonian savoury treats. The pack will include the Zoom invite to the tasting session which will be streamed live from the winery.

Clos Mont-blanc Cava Brut Premium

Made from blending the best Macabeu and Parellada grapes, this premium quality Spanish Cava is aged to perfection. Clos Montblanc's winemaker, Josep Vadri has this to say about his craft, "If any philosophy exists in the world of wine, it's acting when the moment is right. Not too early, not too late: all in its own time". In this case, that time is between 12 and 18 months in bottle, resulting in a fresh and intense finish with yeasty and nutty hints. This is a classic Cava, yellow with green highlights and fine bubbles in the glass, milky notes with delicate, white fruit finish (apple, pear) in the mouth, leaving a full and lingering pleasant aftertaste. The Clos Montblanc family winery, with over five generations of vine-growing experience, is nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty and heritage, Conca de Barbera, to the south of Barcelona. Clos Montblanc uses carefully selected grapes, grown on their 50 hectares sustainably famed vineyard. 100% of the water they use in their growing and processing is rainwater. Their wines reflect both the history of their surroundings and the forward-thinking of modern Catalonia. This is a quintessential Cava to enjoy on any occasion. 

Pimiento cherry relleno de queso / Cherry peppers stuffed with cheese

'Pimiento Cherry Relleno de Queso' (cherry peppers stuffed with cheese) are perfect to snack on with an aperitif. These delicious little snacks are popular nibbles in Spain, where peppers thrive in the year-round sunshine of its southern regions. Conservas Alamanaque is a small, family-run factory, using traditional artisanal methods to produce canned organic fruit and vegetables from the Ebro riverbank. They work in partnership with the seasons, and therefore these stuffed peppers are only produced from September to November. The peppers are stuffed with cheese and preserved in sunflower and olive oil. They are gluten-free and contain no additives.

Aceitunas rellenas de anchoa / Olives stuffed with anchovies 

 You are almost certain to be offered a bowl of olives when enjoying an evening drink in southern Europe. Spanish green olives are a saltier variety and are often stuffed with anchovies. Try these 'aceitunas rellans de anchoa' (olives stuffed with anchovies) with a glass of sherry, or vermouth garnished with a slice of orange or mixed with 'sifon' (soda water).
