Sustainably-managed Wild Venison from the Holker Estate in the Lake District, despatched to you direct from the Estate Shop. Also contains traditional Lake District sauces that are ideal accompaniments for Venison in its prime.

Our sustainably managed wild Lake District venison comes to us direct from the gamekeeper of the 17,000 acre Holker Estate in beautiful South Lakeland, where we have our Lake District Food Hall. The deer thrive there in a rich, varied and highly nutritious mixed woodland, parkland and arable environment to produce venison of superior taste, quality and texture. All our venison is processed on-site in the Estate's Deer Larder by the gamekeeper himself.

 

Our Lake District Wild Venison Box includes:

Venison Haunch (approx 750g)

Pave Loin Steaks x 2 (approx 120g per steak)

Diced venison, haunch & shoulder (approx 500g)

Venison Burgers x 4 (approx 120g each)

Venison Mince (approx 500g)

Hawkshead Relish Co Cumberland Sauce (230g) jar

Original Westmorland Damson Ketchup (565g bottle)

 

All our Lake District Wild Venison Boxes are insulated using eco-friendly sheep's wool pouches and sent via a specialist overnight courier to ensure they reach you in tip-top condition.

 

Important Delivery Information

We despatch our Wild Venison Boxes direct from the Holker Estate on Wednesdays and Thursdays for arrival Thursday or Friday (UK mainland only). Please order by midnight on the preceding Sunday

 

Suitable for home freezing.

Burgers contain:


Venison (80%). Pork Fat (12.5%), Seasoning (7.5%), Salt, RUSK (WHEAT FLOUR), Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamine, Spices, Black Pepper, Cumin, White Pepper, Emulsifier E451, Flavour Enhancer E621, Onion Powder, Herbs, Marjoram, Thyme, Preservative E221 (SULPHITES), Smoked Paprika, Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein, Spice Extracts (CELERY).


Venison meat - may contain non-toxic shot/bone, keep refrigerated below 4 degrees celsius. 


Cumberland Sauce contains:


Redcurrant Jelly, Sugar, Redcurrants (31%), Water, Gelling Agent- Pectin), Water, Damson Wine, Orange Juice, Lemon Juice, Orange Zest, Cayenne Pepper, Mustard, Salt, Mustard Powder.Free from preservatives, colourings and artificial flavourings. Gluten free, nut free and vegetarian.


Damson Ketchup contains:


Damson puree (25%), sugar, distilled malt vinegar (from BARLEY), mixed spices ( trace SULPHITES), ground arrowroot.
