Greek seasoning for Tzatziki 100g by Cretan Life:
Our Tzatziki blend is composed of garlic and dill. You only need to mix it with some yogurt and grated cucumber to create the perfect Tzatziki dip. Ideally create the mixture a few hours before serving. You can also add a good splash of olive oil to really give it a Greek flair.
*Our seasoning mixes come in a reusable packet. The convenient zip of the bag can be used over and over again and it has a transparent front window so you can easily see the substance.
Spices included: Garlic, Dill
350gr Greek yogurt (or plain full-fat yogurt)
2 large cucumbers
2-3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
pepper to taste
a handful of fresh mint leaves (optional)
2 tbsp Seasoning Mix for Tzatziki
For a creamy Tzatziki with the perfect consistency, we need to avoid any excess water. The best result is achieved by peeling and de-seeding the cucumber before grating or finely slicing it. Then hang the cucumber in a cloth or a tea towel to squeeze out all excess liquid.
Finally, combine it with the yogurt, lemon juice and Seasoning Mix for Tzatziki. Add a dash of olive oil and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
