IBIS Rice is a premium jasmine rice brand prioritising sustainability, wildlife conservation and giving back to local farmers in Cambodia.
Founded by the Wildlife Conservation Society in 2009, they saw how endangered animals, such as the Giant Ibis, compete with humans over natural resources. By working closely with local, sustainable farmers on the ground in Cambodia, IBIS Rice has improved the protection of habitats and wildlife in the forests of Northern Cambodia.
IBIS Rice also gives back to these farmers and their communities as well as protecting vulnerable forest land. A prime example of this is that they buy organic paddy directly from farmers, paying up to 70% above market price.
