In this organic wine box you will receive 2 x 75cl bottles of each of the following white wines:
2 x Chardonnay & Gruner Veltliner blend from Bauer Poltl in Burgerland, Austria (Organic): Bauer Poltl are organic wine farmers from Horitschon in Austria. Their wines are made by hand, believing in the concept of terrior, where the wines are a true reflection of the soil, region and surrounding eco system. Daniel and Kathi work with nature and have seen the quality of their wines increase over time as they work with nature, as opposed to trying to control it with synthetic fertilizers and herbicides.
Their Piri is a blend of primarily Chardonnay and Grüner Veltliner, two grape varieties which thrive in this region. Expect a lovely nose full of citrus and tropical fruits. On the pallet its shows great minerality, structural acidity and bold citron and tropical fruits. 11.5% abv.
2 x Pinot Blanc from Oekonomierat Rebholz in Pfalz, Germany (Biodynamic): To Oekonomierat Rebholz, being a bio-dynamic vineyard means to work as closely as possible with nature. Since 2005, their vineyards are managed according to organic guidelines, and a shortly after biodynamic. Biodynamic and organic producers refrain from using herbicides, synthetic chemical fungicides and mineral fertilisers, preserving the natural ecosystem and protecting the environment.
Oekonomierat Rebholz Sauvignon Blanc has an uncanny lightness with a green vegetative note. Expect to find typical fruit flavours of Sauvignon Blanc like lychee and gooseberry. It is a very fresh wine and a high quality biodynamic German Sauvignon Blanc.
Pair with: smoked cheeses, salmon blini's. 12.5% abv.
2 x Macabeu, Viognier, Xarello & Muscat blend from Massana Noya in Penedes, Spain (Organic): Eudald Cepell White is a certified organic, bio-dynamic wine made in the Penedes wine region in north eastern Spain, form a family of grape growers for more than 60 years. Traditionally, Penedes is known for producing premium red wine and Cava. Two of the main grapes used in making cava are Macabeau and Xarello. Xarello in particular can make some excellent still white wines.
The grapes in this wine are a blend of Macabeau, Viognier, Xarello & Muscat which will ensure the wine has a lovely floral, citrus scent and slightly tropical mouth feel. Good level of acidity keeps it together structurally.
Pair with: Pan fried fish. 11.5% abv.
We lovingly pack and ship your goods once payment is processed with some items occasionally coming from different warehouses depending on their nature.
All goods, wherever possible, will be shipped on a tracked service for you to follow their progress and the next available delivery date will be shown on each particular product page before you place your order.
Standard Mainland UK Delivery is FREE on all orders over £75 (excluding shipping) with a fixed charge of £4.95 per order (or delivery address if you're using the multi-address checkout feature).
Surcharges
A shipping surcharge of £5 applies over the £75 threshold if your basket includes fresh or chilled goods from our Meat, Pies & Pastries, and Ready To Eat Meals collections. This covers the additional cost of special delivery services and/or specialist packaging for fresh items.
Delivery to Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and Offshore Islands will incur a surcharge, usually a few GBP.
Any final shipping costs will be shown in checkout.
Future Delivery Dates
While we make every effort to deliver on your preferred date, shipments may arrive one day either side of your selected day during busy periods.
Orders containing alcohol may require a signature.
