🍳 The Clonakilty Breakfast Plate
This is a breakfast that knows exactly who it is: hearty, satisfying, and packed with savoury goodness. Clonakilty Blackpudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, a perfectly fried egg, and beans with a little Worcestershire twist — it’s your classic breakfast, only better.

Cook Time: 45 mins
Ingredients

100g Clonakilty Blackpudding

2 tbsp vegetable oil
-
2 chestnut mushrooms, sliced

5 cherry tomatoes, halved

1 medium egg
-
1 (200g) can baked beans in tomato sauce

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Method

Slice the blackpudding into 8 rounds and fry in a hot non-stick pan for 4 mins per side until crisp. Set aside and keep warm.

Add 1 tbsp oil to the pan, fry mushrooms for about 5 mins until soft and juicy. Keep warm.

Add tomatoes and fry for 3–4 mins until tender. Keep warm.

Wipe the pan clean, add remaining oil, and fry the egg to your liking.

Heat baked beans in the pan with Worcestershire sauce until piping hot.

Serve everything together — start with beans, stack the blackpudding, nestle in your mushrooms and tomatoes, and top with the egg. Add a little mustard cress if you’re feeling fancy.
🥑 Avocado & Blackpudding Croute with Soft-Boiled Eggs
This is brunch with big energy. Crunchy croutes, creamy avocado, rich Clonakilty Blackpudding, and perfectly soft-boiled eggs — it’s the kind of plate that makes you pause and say “wow” before diving in.

Ingredients

200g Clonakilty Blackpudding

175g white bloomer loaf

4 tbsp olive oil

1 clove garlic, peeled
-
4 eggs
-
1 ripe avocado
-
Salt & black pepper
-
A dash of chilli sauce (optional)

A squeeze of lemon juice
Method

Preheat your oven to 200°C (Fan 180°C). Slice the blackpudding and bloomer, then bake for 10 mins, flipping halfway.

Boil the eggs for 7 mins, cool, peel, and halve.

Rub hot croutes with garlic for a hint of flavour.

Mash avocado with lemon juice, seasoning, and chilli (if using).

Spread avocado on each croute, top with blackpudding and half an egg. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.
Clonakilty Whitepudding Falafels with Tahini Dressing
A modern twist with a nod to tradition — these falafel-style bites swap chickpeas for creamy Clonakilty Whitepudding and grated sweet potato. Perfect for lunch, meal-prep, or wrapped in a warm flatbread for an easy, satisfying dinner.

100g sweet potato, grated

1 garlic clove, minced

1 spring onion, chopped

Pinch of chilli powder

1 tsp olive oil

Salt & black pepper to taste
Method

Mix everything in a bowl — don’t overdo it.

Shape into 8 patties and chill for 30 minutes.

Fry in oil for 7–10 mins until golden on all sides.

Serve with flatbreads, crunchy salad, and a drizzle of homemade tahini dressing.
Quick Tahini Dressing
Whisk together:

50g tahini

50ml cold water
Season to taste and drizzle generously.
