Latin Chilli -Delicious plantain crisps cooked to perfection then lightly infused with Latin Chillies for a gentle Colombian kick. Did you know that being ‘Latino’ means you are from Latin America and so your native language is either Spanish, Portuguese or French? In our case, Loro Crisps were born in the UK, with Colombian heritage from our two founders.

We don’t have seasons in Colombia so our plantains and cassavas are grown all year round in the tropical fields of the Urabá region.

The Founders

Natalia and Daniela met at the University of Sheffield Enterprise Zone. Natalia had already started her first business Pura Panela, selling unrefined sugar cane from Colombia. Daniela had recently graduated having completed a Masters in entrepreneurship.

Both were born and raised in Colombia and wanted to share their favourite childhood crisps – plantain crisps – with the rest of the world.
